Let Me Stand Alone

Has anyone ever heard that title above before? Yes it's Rachel Corrie's journal to include some of her collected writings published by an independent American book publishing company based in New York City after her death in Israeli's cruel buldozer tragedy at Gaza Strip, Palestine, where this American nonviolent human rights protestor was killed intentionally! And shame on me, I just know it last night when my mother told me the story about this young brave lady and an Irish-owned humanitarian aid ship named after her name that is now under the Israeli forces' threat.

The journal she written disclosed all of the truths about what was exactly happened there, revealed the brutality Israeli armies have made to destroy Palestinian and their lives; the true owner of that land, mind you thief!

This is one of many videos related to her you could easily found in Youtube.

I don't know.. I am not sure if I can do as much as she did. :( Dear Rachel, I hope everything you've done there in Gaza, even then you have risked your life to help my family there, will be rewarded by God.

"I really can't believe that something like this can happen in the world without a bigger outcry about it. It really hurts me, again, like it has hurt me in the past, to witness how awful we can allow the world to be."
~ Rachel Corrie

My heart is now crying in anger.
I am so sorry. For unable to do anything helpful.

Salaam sis!

Your post is really heartfelt :(
Alhamdolillah now you know about Rachel Corrie and the many likes of her who are so dedicated in a cause for Humanity!

Don't say that you are unable to do anything helpful. We can do A LOT even tho we are not in Palestine defending those civilians. We can SPEAK against the crimes of the Israeli military, spread awareness about whats going on in palestine and expose Israel. There are so many people in the world who don't have a clue as to whats going on! If we do our bit of spreading awareness through our blogs, internet, etc then we won't feel so helpless...

All the best sis!

Ps- The quote you posted pf Rachel Corrie is so touching :(

JazakAllah

She's a very very strong girl, and you are right, I myself are not sure if I can give or do as much as what what she did for our families in Gaza.

It hurts to see the people, especially the kids.
