Paradise Island Escapism

Remember when I posted about the excitement to visit Bali with two of my colleagues last month? We had quite a happy time there, unbelievably we could go to see some well-known beautiful tourism places during that short trip. Here are some pictures we took. :D

This is Zoey and Gennie, my partners in crime, at Dreamland Beach

Pura Besakih (Mount Agung)

Isn't it beautiful?? This is just one from another thousand islands which lies throughout Indonesia! I am craving for more places , pleaseee :)

Books of The Months

It's been a while since my latest post about update for books I have and currently read, yes? Don't worry, I won't forget my strong will about books I wrote on January, hehe. Well, I haven't exactly count yet how many books I have read until now but I just want to share some good books I read so far. Being perplexed with future life and plans didn't shallowly make me leave my fondness to reading. Hehe. I am even much more interested to words even to burgers. :D Anyway, all of them are in Bahasa Indonesia version. So it is somehow easier for me to finish them fast :D

As You Grew Older

… I might not be able to consider you as the stimulant of my life spirit forever, perhaps. So now or never, I want to give my deepest appreciation for everything.. everything I've learned from you; after all these times, my dear friend. :)

As you know that now I'm giving myself a big try to be good by strengthening my faith, doing good deeds and leaving evil deeds, therefore I can go passing through the road and meet you at the gate, so we can walk and have a nice talk together? Oh, I daydream too much. Well actually, I am so grateful that the surreal-est idea of you accompanies me when I'm back to God.

Dear you,
I really don't know how.. but I hope you could become better in all aspects of life more than that good teen I encountered 7 years, 8 months ago. I keep whispering a pray that hopefully your life could still be a meaningful inspiration for me, as always. Because honestly, I can't imagine how life would go, if you have no influence in my days anymore.

Happy growing older,
happy days ahead to follow with all the vigorousness in striving the best for life and chasing jannah. I believe that you will be a great person in the future.

My biggest thank goes to your help to me in figuring out what's the purpose of our life.

The Apple Dream

To help me in learning and memorizing short surahs in Juz30, this is what I really want for now (which seems unlikely, since I don't think I want to spend big money in this so costly thing) :

And Again

As I've written in some postings before, (yeah I know this is lame), lately I am unnecessarily scared of so many random things in life.
I don't know whether I could really relieve and leave all those fears behind, alone.
Yet I am happy knowing that there's someone out there who keeps praying for me. For all my kindnesses. Here and after.

The only I can perceive now that this one person is still a wonderful solace of mine, where I could always back to. ;'')

An Architect, Aren't You?

One of my colleagues from the office without any serious purpose asked me a casual question that shocked me at the moment. "Do you still want to be an architect?" It's everybody's question ever since I joined this current office, by the way.

I can't sleep tonight. No no, not that I think of that question so seriously and it has made me stressed therefore I can't close my eyes. It's my weekend syndrome, remember? Hehe. So then I fell for hours in front of the desktop browsing about everything (oh forget that disgusting scandalous Indonesian superstars' porn video! I am not interested), then I realized I have been leaving too far from the architecture world. How could I don't know what's the latest hot news lively discussed by the professionals? What's this Shanghai Expo? When is the next FK TKI-MAI event? Or even is it the life choice of being an architect still warmly discussed in the mailing list? Okey, I admit it, I still stalk sometimes, but the fact that I never put any intense thoughts to those issues, made me feel so odd. I also admit that I am still thrilled seeing nice and progressive architectural designs by both international and local architects who actually have been my research partners for these times.

And then that familiar question comes again from inside of me, "Want you?" I know my answer below must be sounded so weird and funny, but to be honest, I am like, to yell loudly.. "YES I DO!" Oh C'mon! I've ever involved in this design thing when I was in school. :P

Let Me Stand Alone

Has anyone ever heard that title above before? Yes it's Rachel Corrie's journal to include some of her collected writings published by an independent American book publishing company based in New York City after her death in Israeli's cruel buldozer tragedy at Gaza Strip, Palestine, where this American nonviolent human rights protestor was killed intentionally! And shame on me, I just know it last night when my mother told me the story about this young brave lady and an Irish-owned humanitarian aid ship named after her name that is now under the Israeli forces' threat.

The journal she written disclosed all of the truths about what was exactly happened there, revealed the brutality Israeli armies have made to destroy Palestinian and their lives; the true owner of that land, mind you thief!

This is one of many videos related to her you could easily found in Youtube.

I don't know.. I am not sure if I can do as much as she did. :( Dear Rachel, I hope everything you've done there in Gaza, even then you have risked your life to help my family there, will be rewarded by God.

"I really can't believe that something like this can happen in the world without a bigger outcry about it. It really hurts me, again, like it has hurt me in the past, to witness how awful we can allow the world to be."
~ Rachel Corrie

My heart is now crying in anger.
I am so sorry. For unable to do anything helpful.

New York, IOU.

The series of sales induction meeting held by the office in this whole week were officially done. Let's say hello to another new weekend! The final meeting was given by a motivation trainer with Personal Goal Settings as the topic. So people, have you write down your life goal list? There are these several aspects of life we have to determine in making the list, including spiritual, attitude, health, family, financial, career, and social. Set your goals, make three columns under each aspect for short, medium, and long term goals. Ah ya, I believe we already have it in our mind so it will be easy writing it down, yes?

And I feel really exhausted, in almost every Friday! *sighh. That's why I love weekend, as others do too. Since my friend and I found a DVD player with a very cheap price last weekend, so now I don't have problem with the pirated DVDs anymore. :p

That's how then I will close this week watching this movie.
