October Green Forum

Going back to the office after a week Eid holiday in the beginning of September is going fine so far, but I think we will be busier than our usual day because we're going to have a big event in less then a month! And as a researcher in the building and construction industry's media company, I think it's kind of my basic instinct to spread the words about this international conference.

Well, anyone in the design process and interested in sustainability and green architecture is highly suggested to check the message below.

Green building and sustainability are sometimes regarded as fashionable, but are becoming more and more crucial in today's built environment. One of the main challenges of this trend has been to lift it from a niche to a broad application in architectural planning. Besides cost issues, what are the reasons for this? What are crucial factors for good performance? Which are examples of best practice?

The FuturArc Forum 2011 will answer all of these questions. With international experts and local examples, the principles of sustainable architecture will undergo an in depth analysis. Moving beyond the usual “why” and “what” questions circulating in the green building arena, the FuturArc Forum 2011 leaps ahead and tackles the challenging questions of “how it is implemented” and “how to sustain it”. In a series of seven events, in seven countries, attendees will have the chance to learn about green building and sustainable design first hand from leading architects, engineers and academics.

The event will be accompanied by an exhibition acknowledging the innovations and achievements in green technologies.
